I know this because I was aware of what needed to be done before showing up, but the car decided it needed them done sooner. The technician found the fan was shot because it threw a code. I knew it was a common problem with this make and model because I had changed the fan myself once before. They didn’t try to “sell” me anything the vehicle didn’t need. However, they will make recommendations based on the conditions/miles/year of your vehicle like any good shop should do. A pretty decent amount of work was required and had it back in a couple days. All the work they had diagnosed I knew needed to be done, before the vehicle decided it needed it sooner.
